Later Owners and Changes
In 1953, a company called Samuel Allen & Sons Ltd. bought the building. They had been in Townsville since 1872. In 1979, more changes were made. The windows on the first floor were replaced, and the ground floor was changed to fit three shops or restaurants. Today, an Italian restaurant is located on the ground floor.
