Early Life and Family

Rosamond Grant Langbridge was born in 1880. Her birthplace was Glenalla, in County Donegal, Ireland. Her father was Rev. Frederick Langbridge. He was also a writer, a poet, and a playwright. Some of his works include The Scales of Heaven and The Only Way.

Rosamond grew up and went to school in Limerick. Her father worked there as the Rector of St. John's church. He stopped working in 1921 because he was not well.

Her Own Family and Work

Rosamond Langbridge married another writer, J. S. Fletcher. They had one child together. Their son was Rev. Valentine Fletcher. He was born in 1914 and passed away in 1993. Valentine also became a writer. He wrote many books for children. He also wrote a book called Chimney Pots and Stacks. This book was about chimney pots in Britain.

Rosamond herself wrote for different newspapers. She contributed to The Manchester Guardian and the Saturday Westminster. She passed away in Mersea, Essex, in 1964.
