Roundstone is a small community located in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, in the United States. It is known as an "unincorporated community," which means it's a place where people live but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
You can find Roundstone where three important roads meet: U.S. Route 25, Kentucky Route 1786, and Kentucky Route 1617. A railway line, called the CC Subdivision, also passes through this area.
The Story of Roundstone
Roundstone got its name from a nearby stream called Roundstone Creek. A long time ago, in 1856, a post office was opened in Roundstone. This post office helped people send and receive letters and packages. It stayed open for many years, until 1893.
