Rucensi facts for kids
The Rucensi were an ancient group of people who lived a long, long time ago on the beautiful island of Sardinia. Sardinia is a large island in the Mediterranean Sea, located west of Italy. We know about the Rucensi because an important ancient writer named Ptolemy mentioned them in his books.
Where Did They Live?
The Rucensi lived in a specific part of Sardinia. They were located south of another group called the Æchilenenses, who were also known as the Cornenses. To their north, you would find the Celsitani and the Corpicenses. This tells us they had neighbors, just like we do today, and their territory was somewhere in the middle of these other ancient communities on the island.
