Ryan Alexander Hezekiah Adeleye (Hebrew: ריאן אלכסנדר חזקיה אדלי) was born on April 28, 1987, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He is an American-Israeli professional soccer player. Ryan currently plays as a defender for Atlantic City FC in the National Premier Soccer League.

Early Life and High School
Ryan Adeleye's parents are Manny Adeleye and Lori Herzig. His father is from Nigeria and became Jewish. His mother is Jewish and from Connecticut. Ryan went to high school at Newark Academy. There, he was a star soccer player. He earned many awards, including all-state and all-conference honors.
College Soccer Career
Ryan started his college journey at Davidson College from 2005 to 2006. After that, he moved to the University of North Carolina. He joined their men's soccer team, the North Carolina Tar Heels. In 2007, Ryan scored a great goal against Duke. This helped him win the ACC Player of the Week award.
After college, Ryan hoped to join a professional team. He entered the 2009 MLS SuperDraft but was not chosen by any team. That same summer, he was picked to play for the US men's team. They competed in the 2009 Maccabiah Games in Israel.
Playing Professionally in Israel
While playing for the US Maccabiah team, Ryan had a friendly match. It was against an Israeli Premier League team called Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Ryan played so well that he impressed their coach, Guy Azouri. After the tournament, Ryan was invited to try out for Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
He was signed by the team. At first, he was considered a foreign player. This was while he waited to become an Israeli citizen. He became a citizen through the Law of Return. Ryan played his first professional game for Be'er Sheva on August 18, 2009. It was a Toto Cup match against Hapoel Petah Tikva. His team lost that game 1–0.
In October 2009, Ryan had a health scare during a training session. He briefly collapsed, which worried everyone. Luckily, he was able to return to training a week later. Doctors gave him permission to play again. About a month later, on December 5, 2009, Ryan played his first league game. He came into the game in the 86th minute. His team won 2–0 against Hapoel Petah Tikva.
Ryan played for Hapoel Be'er Sheva until 2013. He then played for other Israeli teams. These included Hapoel Ashkelon and Hapoel Jerusalem.
Return to the United States
In 2015, Ryan came back to the United States. He joined the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. After that, he played for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in 2016 and 2017. Since 2018, he has been playing for Atlantic City FC.
