Sadena Parks was born on May 4, 1990. She is an American professional golfer. Sadena plays on the LPGA Tour, which is a top golf tour for women.
Sadena made history by becoming the first African American golfer to earn her Tour card through the Symetra Tour. She is also only the fifth African American woman to get an LPGA Tour card.

Early Life and Education
Sadena Parks was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. Later, she moved to Washington with her father.
She went to Bethel High School in Spanaway. After high school, Sadena studied American Ethnic Studies at the University of Washington for four years.
Amateur Golf Career
Sadena started playing golf when she was just 9 years old. She joined a program for young golfers called Classic Club. Her father also signed her up for the Leisure Hour junior golf program in Portland, Oregon.
During her high school years, Sadena won the Washington State High School Championship. She also finished second in another important competition.
College Golf Highlights
Sadena played golf for the University of Washington Huskies. She was a very strong player throughout her college career.
Freshman Year (2008–09)
As a freshman, Sadena played in eight tournaments. She was the top finisher for her team at the 2009 NCAA Central Regionals. She also had some of her best rounds, scoring 74 strokes.
Sophomore Year (2009–10)
In her second year, Sadena played in all 11 tournaments. She was the top Husky golfer at the Pac-10 Championship, finishing 13th. She also had a great round of 70 strokes.
Junior Year (2010–11)
During her junior year, Sadena finished in the top 25 in seven events. She set a new course record at Washington National with a score of 66 strokes. This was one of the best scores ever by a Husky golfer.
Senior Year (2011–12)
In her final year, Sadena continued to play well. She had a very low score of 66 strokes in one tournament. She also finished second in Hawaii at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational. Sadena was the team's top scorer in four events.
Professional Golf Career
Sadena became a professional golfer in 2013. She earned a spot on the 2013 Symetra Tour. This tour helps golfers get ready for the LPGA Tour.
She also appeared on a TV show called Big Break Florida. This show features golfers competing against each other.
Symetra Tour Success
In 2014, Sadena had a fantastic year on the Symetra Tour. She won two big events:
- 2014 SEFCU Championship
- New England Charity Classic
Because of her success, she finished fourth on the money list. This earned her a spot on the 2015 LPGA Tour. This was a huge achievement, making her only the fifth African American woman to get an LPGA Tour card.
Life Off the Course
In 2015, Sadena was featured in ESPN The Magazine's "Body Issue." In the article, she talked about her goals and how her dad helped her start playing golf.
