This group lived in what is now Ontario, Canada. Their home was southwest of the Ottawa River. They lived near the eastern side of Georgian Bay. They were also close to three famous lakes known today as "The Big Three":

What Do We Know About Them?

Not much information about the Sagaiguninini has survived to today. However, their name is still important in the area where they lived. It has become part of the local culture and language.

For example, the town of Seguin, Ontario is named after them. Also, a famous old steamship called the RMS Segwun carries a name inspired by the Sagaiguninini. These names help us remember this ancient group of "people of the lake."
