Akorede Babatunde Okunola (born on August 7, 1969), known as Saheed Osupa or King Saheed Osupa (K.S.O), is a famous Nigerian musician. He is known for his unique style of Fuji music and is also an actor. He even created a new music style called Hip Fuji!

Early Life and Family
Saheed Osupa was born in Ajegunle, Lagos State, Nigeria. He spent his childhood growing up in Ibadan, which is the capital city of Oyo State. His father, Moshood Ajiwere Layeye, was also a musician who played Were music.
Saheed Osupa's Education
Saheed Osupa went to Amuwo Odofin High School in Lagos and finished in 1987. Later, in 1992, he earned a diploma in Business Administration from The Polytechnic, Ibadan. He also studied Networking Operations at the American International College.
Saheed Osupa's Music Career
Saheed Osupa started his music career very young, as a teenager in 1983. He sings a type of Nigerian music called Fuji.
Fuji Music Journey
His first album was called Fuji Fa Disco, followed by Fuji Blues. He has made over 40 studio albums! One of his big albums was a special 4-in-1 album named Mr. Music. In 2008, another famous Fuji musician, Ayinde Barrister, officially named Saheed Osupa the "King of Fuji Music."
Exploring Hip Hop Music
Saheed Osupa is known for creating "Hip Fuji," which mixes Fuji music with hip hop. On June 12, 2018, he released his first Hip Fuji album called Non-Stop. Before that, in 2014, he released a hip hop song called "Vanakula." He also released "African Beauty" in 2015 and "Womi" with Seriki. In 2015, The NET magazine listed him as one of Nigeria's most successful musicians.
Acting in Films
Besides music, Saheed Osupa is also an actor. He has appeared in more than 30 Yoruba films.
Friendly Rivalry in Music
Saheed Osupa and fellow musician Wasiu Alabi Pasuma had a friendly rivalry, especially around 2007. This competition helped Saheed Osupa create some of his most successful music. He released about 10 records during this time, which were very popular.
One of his most famous albums, Mr. Music, was released in 2007/2008. It was a special 4-in-1 album and sold millions of copies around the world. Many people consider it one of the most successful Fuji albums of its time. This success led to him winning many awards.
