Saint-Georges-de-Montaigu was once a commune in France. A commune is like a small town or local area with its own government. It was located in the western part of France.
This area was part of the Pays de la Loire region. It was also found within the Vendée department. A department is similar to a county or a larger administrative area.
On January 1, 2019, Saint-Georges-de-Montaigu joined with other communes. It became a part of a new, larger commune called Montaigu-Vendée. This means it is now part of a bigger town.
