History of Saint Stephens
The community of Saint Stephens got its name from the St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church. This church was first started way back in 1842. Later, in 1876, a post office opened in the community, also called Saint Stephen. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years. It stayed open until 1957, when it finally closed down.
