Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier is a city in Quebec, Canada. It is located in a region called Capitale-Nationale. The city is part of the regional county municipality of La Jacques-Cartier. A regional county municipality is like a group of towns and cities working together. The beautiful Jacques-Cartier River flows right through the city.
The city was named after Catherine Nau de La Boissière et de Fossambault. She was a noblewoman from New France, which was what Canada was called long ago.
