The Story of Saltillo
Saltillo officially began in 1849. But even before that year, the area was already a busy spot. A tavern was open for business on the land where Saltillo now stands. A tavern was like an old-fashioned inn or restaurant. Travelers could stop there to eat, drink, and rest during their journeys.
