Sam Bowie's Rugby Journey
First Game and a Famous Comeback
Sam Bowie started his professional rugby league career with the North Queensland Cowboys. He played his very first top-level game, known as his first grade debut, in 2008. This was during Round 16 of the 2008 NRL season against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
This particular game became famous for a huge comeback! The South Sydney team was far behind, with the score being 28-4 against them, and only about 30 minutes left to play. But they managed to score many points quickly and won the game 29-28. Even though Sam Bowie played in this memorable match, it was his only first-grade game for the club.
