Sam Bowie started his journey in rugby league with the North Queensland Cowboys. He also played for their Under 20s team, which is a stepping stone for young players hoping to join the main squad.
First Grade Debut
Sam made his first big appearance in the top-level competition, known as "first grade," in 2008. This was during Round 16 of the 2008 NRL season. He played for the North Queensland Cowboys against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
A Memorable Match
The game where Sam Bowie made his debut was quite unforgettable. The North Queensland Cowboys were leading by a lot, 28-4, with less than 30 minutes left to play. However, the South Sydney Rabbitohs made an incredible comeback. They managed to score many points quickly and won the game 29-28. This match is still remembered as one of the biggest comebacks in the history of the South Sydney Rabbitohs club.
