About Sam Rayburn, Texas
This community is also called Rayburn Country. It is located on the southern shore of the Sam Rayburn Reservoir. You can find it where Texas Recreational Road 255 and Farm to Market Road 1007 meet.
Sam Rayburn was started in the 1970s. This happened after the large Sam Rayburn Reservoir was created. The main attraction in the area is its country club, which is named Rayburn Country.
