Samanta Karavella's Early Life and Music Journey
Starting Out: 1990–2012
Samanta Karavella was born in Tirana, Albania, on July 9, 1990. She loved music from a young age. When she was just 13, Samanta tried out for an Albanian talent show called Ethet e së premtes mbrëma. This was her first step into the music world.
At 16, she even had a small part in a movie called Gjoleka. Samanta kept working on her music career by joining different music events. She competed in popular shows like Festivali i Këngës and Kënga Magjike.
In December 2011, Samanta wanted to represent Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. She sang a song called "Zgjomë një tjetër ëndërr" at the 50th Festivali i Këngës. She did very well, finishing in fourth place.
Rising to Fame: 2013–Present
In 2013, Samanta won the 10th season of Top Fest with her song "Loti i fundit". This was a big win for her!
She continued to release new music. In July 2014, she released "Ti s'e din se." This song was even nominated for an award at the 2015 Netët e Klipit Shqiptar event.
In December 2017, Samanta returned to Kënga Magjike for its 19th show. She performed her song "Humbur." She placed fourth again and also won the Best Ballad Award.
In January 2019, Samanta released "Vonë," a song she made with Kosovo-Albanian musician Elinel. This song mixed R&B and hip hop styles. In 2020, her songs "Pse" and "NKN" (with Skerdi) became popular in Albania.
In May 2021, Samanta's song "Emnin tem" reached number seven in Albania. Later that year, her song "Mala" and its remix "Mala (naBBoo RMX)" were played on the radio in many countries.
Samanta is currently working on her first studio album, which is called Mama. The song "Mama" was released in November 2021 and became a hit. Another song from the album, "Jeta ime," followed a month later.
In 2023, Samanta was chosen to compete in Festivali i Këngës 62 with her song "N'Majë." However, she later decided not to participate in the competition.
