Samantha McKiver Irby (born February 13, 1980) is an American comedian, writer, and blogger. She is also a talented television writer. Her books, We Are Never Meeting in Real Life and Wow, No Thank You, became very popular. Both books appeared on The New York Times best-seller list.

Samantha Irby received the 2021 Lambda Literary Award. This award was for her non-fiction writing about bisexual experiences. She has also worked on several TV shows. These include Work in Progress, Shrill, and Tuca & Bertie. In 2016, a TV channel called FX decided to make a show based on her 2013 book Meaty and her blog.

Samantha McKiver Irby was born on February 13, 1980. She grew up in Evanston, Illinois. Her middle name, McKiver, comes from her grandmother's maiden name. Samantha's mother worked as a nurse.
