The San Antonio River is a cool river in South America. It's also known as Río San Antonio in Spanish and Rio Santo Antônio in Portuguese. Sometimes people call it San Antonio Guazú. This river is a tributary of the famous Iguazu River. A tributary is a smaller river that flows into a larger one.

What is the San Antonio River?

The San Antonio River is special because it acts like a natural line. It forms part of the border between two countries! On one side is Argentina, specifically Misiones Province. On the other side is Brazil, in the state of Paraná. Imagine a river being a border marker!

Where Does it Flow?

The river starts near a town called Barracão. From there, it flows and helps mark the border. South of where the San Antonio River begins, the border continues. Another river, the Pepiri-Guazu River, takes over. This river forms the border between Misiones Province in Argentina and Santa Catarina State in Brazil. So, these rivers are very important for showing where one country ends and another begins.
