San Estanislao de Kostka is a town and municipality in northern Colombia. It is part of the Bolívar Department. People who live here often call it Arenal. This nickname means "sand" in Spanish. The town got this name because a lot of sand gathers there when it rains or gets windy.
A long time ago, in 1650, a special mission was started in this area. Getting to San Estanislao can be a bit tricky. The roads are not paved and can get very muddy after a lot of rain.
Most people in San Estanislao support themselves through farming. They grow different crops and raise animals like cattle, chickens, and pigs. They also make delicious dairy products and a local cheese called "queso costeno." This means "cheese of the coast." Farmers share and trade their products with each other. The people of San Estanislao often call themselves "Costenos." They are known for being hardworking and humble.

The closest big cities are Barranquilla, which is to the north, and Cartagena, which is to the west. The town of Soplaviento is located just across the canal from San Estanislao.
