San José is a small town located in the Santa Cruz Department in Bolivia, a country in South America. It is nestled in the Andean region, known for its beautiful mountains.

Where is San José Located?
San José is the main town of an area called Cantón San José. It is part of La Guardia Municipality in Andrés Ibáñez Province. The town sits on the right side of the Río Piraí. It is about 507 meters (1,663 feet) above sea level. You can find San José south of La Guardia and north of Santa Rita.
Getting to San José by Road
San José is located about 26 kilometers (16 miles) southwest of Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is the capital city of the department. To reach San José from Santa Cruz, you can take Grigota Avenue, also known as Ruta 7. This road goes southwest, passing through La Guardia before reaching San José. From San José, Ruta 7 continues to other towns like La Angostura, Samaipata, Comarapa, and Cochabamba.
