San Juan de Girón, often called Girón, is a town in the Santander Department in northeastern Colombia. It's part of the larger Bucaramanga area. Long ago, it was known as Villa de los Caballeros de Girón.
Girón: A Heritage Town
Girón is a special place in Colombia. In 2010, the Colombian government officially called it a Pueblo Patrimonio. This means it's a "heritage town" because of its important history and culture.
A National Monument of Colombia
The old part of Girón is famous for its beautiful Spanish colonial style. It's even a National Monument of Colombia.
