San Marcos is an island in Mexico, located in the northern part of Baja California Sur. It's across the water from the town of Santa Rosalía in the Gulf of California. Close by is Isla Tortuga. The only town on San Marcos island is also called San Marcos.

This island is about 28.7 square kilometers (11.1 square miles) big. That makes it the 18th largest island in Mexico! In 2005, about 425 people lived there. It is part of the Mulegé Municipality.
