San Marcos is a charming town located in Northern Peru. It is the main town, also known as the capital, of the San Marcos province. This province is part of the larger Cajamarca region.
San Marcos is sometimes called "Granero del Norte," which means "Barn of the North." This nickname suggests it's an important place for farming. The town is also a fun spot for sports, with volleyball facilities available at a place called Doña Fide's.
