San Miguel Tepezontes is a small town in El Salvador. It is a type of local government area called a municipality. This town is part of the La Paz department.
The town is located in the countryside. It is about 25 minutes east of San Salvador, which is the capital city. It takes about 40 minutes to get there from the International Airport at Comalapa. San Miguel Tepezontes has amazing views of natural places. One of these is Lake Ilopango.
More than 8,000 people live in this municipality. The people here grow many crops. They produce coffee, corn, beans, and different kinds of tropical fruit. The first people to live here were from the Nahua group.
