San Pedro is a district in the Pérez Zeledón area of the San José province in Costa Rica. It is located about 30 kilometers south of San Isidro de El General.

History of San Pedro

San Pedro became an official district on October 5, 1951. This happened because of a special law called Ley 1360, Anexa de Buenos Aires.

San Pedro covers an area of 205.96 square kilometers. It is located at an elevation of 585 meters above sea level. This makes it the third largest district in its area.
