Sander Sagosen (born 14 September 1995) is a famous Norwegian professional handball player. He plays for Kolstad Håndball and is a key member of the Norwegian national team.
Sander has won many big titles with different clubs in four countries. These include league championships in Norway, Denmark, France, and Germany. He has also had great success with his national team. Norway finished second at the World Championship in 2017 and 2019. They also came in third at the 2020 European Championship. Sander was chosen for the All-Star team in five major international competitions in a row. This shows he is one of the best players in the world.

Club Career Highlights
Sander Sagosen began his professional handball journey at Kolstad Håndball in 2012. The very next year, he moved to another club, Haslum Håndballklubb.
Playing in Denmark
In 2014, Sander signed a three-year contract with the Danish club Aalborg Håndbold. He helped the club win the Danish League championship in 2017.
Moving to France
Later in 2017, Sagosen joined the French club Paris Saint-Germain. This was a big step in his career.
Success in Germany
In 2020, he moved to Germany to play for THW Kiel. With this club, he won the important EHF Champions League title in 2020. The final matches for this tournament were delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. They were played in December 2020. In the final game against FC Barcelona Handbol, Sander scored seven goals.
Return to Norway
In 2023, Sander Sagosen decided to return to Norwegian handball. He signed a new contract with his first club, Kolstad Håndball.
International Career Achievements
Sander Sagosen played his first game for the Norwegian national team in 2013. This game was against Croatia during the Bring Cup.
First Major Tournaments
His first big international tournament was the 2014 European Championship in Denmark. At the 2016 European Championship, Norway finished in fourth place. Sander was recognized as one of the best players. He was named to the All-Star team as the best centre back.
World Championship Success
At the 2017 World Championship, Norway came in second place. Sander was again chosen for the All-Star team, this time as the best left back.
Continued Excellence
In the 2018 European Championship, Norway finished seventh. Sander was once more voted the best centre back. At the 2019 World Championship, Norway again took second place. Sander was included on the All-Star team for the second time as best left back.
Top Scorer and Bronze Medal
Norway earned a bronze medal at the 2020 European Championship. Sander Sagosen was the top scorer of the tournament with 65 goals. He was also named to the All-Star team for the fifth major international tournament in a row.
Personal Life
Sander Sagosen is married to Hanna Oftedal Sagosen, who was also a handball player. Their first child, a son named Noah, was born on 13 July 2023.
