Bandy Achievements
The bandy team at Sandslåns SK had some great moments. In 1950, they made it to the final of the Norrland Bandy Championship. They played against Haparandapojkarna but unfortunately lost the game.
The team also played in Sweden's top bandy league. This happened during the 1961 season and again in the 1975–1976 season. In the 1977–1978 season, a player from the club, Anders Wedin, became the top scorer in the Swedish second division. The club even played once in the Bandy World Cup, which is a big international tournament.
Soccer and Ice Hockey
Besides bandy, Sandslåns SK also had teams in other sports. The soccer team played in the Swedish third division in 1962. In 1949, the club's junior soccer team won the district championship, showing their talent at a younger age.
For a short time in the early 1950s, the club also had an ice hockey team. This shows that Sandslåns SK was a club that offered different sports for people in the community to enjoy.
