Sanni Mari Elina Kurkisuo (born on May 26, 1993), known simply as Sanni, is a talented Finnish singer, songwriter, and actress. She is signed with Warner Music Finland. Sanni is famous for her unique style and is one of Finland's most popular artists. She is the most listened-to female artist on Spotify in Finland. Sanni has won three Emma awards, which are like the Finnish Grammys, from a total of 17 nominations.

Sanni's Journey in Music and Arts
Sanni started showing her talents at a young age. In 2001, she won the Napero-Finlandia prize for a writing competition. This showed her creative side early on!
She continued her education in arts. In 2012, she graduated from Sibelius-lukio, a special arts school. That same year, she also acted in a Finnish movie called Miss Farkku-Suomi.
Sanni began her music career when she was just 13 years old. She was part of several bands before becoming a solo artist. She was featured in a song called "Pumppaa" by the rapper Aste.
Starting Her Solo Music Career
Sanni released her very first solo song, "Prinsessoja ja astronautteja" (which means "Princesses and Astronauts"), in April 2013. This song quickly became popular, reaching number three on The Official Finnish Charts.
Her first album, Sotke mut, came out in 2013. It was a big step in her solo career.
New Albums and TV Appearances
On February 13, 2015, Sanni released a new song called "2080-luvulla" ("In the 2080s"). Her second album, Lelu (meaning "Toy"), was released on April 24, 2015.
Sanni also took part in the fourth season of Vain elämää, a popular Finnish music reality show. On this show, artists perform each other's songs.
On October 7, 2016, she released her third album, which was simply titled "SANNI".
