Santa Cristina d'Aro is a small town in the Baix Empordà region of Catalonia, Spain. It sits in the Aro river valley. The town is located where roads from Girona and Barcelona meet. These roads lead to coastal towns like Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Palamós. Many people who work in nearby holiday spots live here. You can also find the Costa Brava golf course just outside the town.

The area of Santa Cristina d'Aro includes several smaller villages. These are Romanyà de la Selva, Solius, and Bell-lloc. The municipality even reaches the coast, including a part called Canyet de Mar.

For many years, from 1892 to 1969, a special train line connected the town. This narrow-gauge railway linked Santa Cristina d'Aro to the city of Girona and the port of Sant Feliu de Guíxols. Today, this old railway line has been turned into a greenway. A greenway is a path for walking and cycling, often built on old railway lines.
