Santa Fe, also called La Fe, is a town in Cuba. It is the second largest town on the island known as Isla de la Juventud. This island is located south of the main island of Cuba.
About Santa Fe
Santa Fe was the very first settlement built on Isla de la Juventud. It was created around natural mineral springs. These springs were likely important for early settlers.
Location and Travel
The town of Santa Fe is about 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Nueva Gerona. Nueva Gerona is the main town and the capital of Isla de la Juventud. A 15-kilometer (9-mile) expressway connects Santa Fe with Nueva Gerona, making travel between them easy.
Famous People
- Tomás Aldazabal (born in 1976) is a famous volleyball player from Santa Fe.
