It is almost like a neighborhood of Igualada. The main town hall, called the ajuntament, is in a part of Montbui called Sant Maure. Other areas in Montbui include the Old Town, el Saió-Coll del Guix, and La Mallola.

La Tossa Mountain

The most famous mountain in Santa Margarida de Montbui is called La Tossa. It stands 650 meters (about 2,130 feet) tall. La Tossa mountain is part of a larger mountain range known as serra de Miralles-Queralt. On this mountain, you can find a very old chapel. This chapel is devoted to the Virgin Mary and was built around the 11th century. It is a great example of Romanesque architecture.

The Anoia river forms the southern border of Santa Margarida de Montbui. This river also separates Montbui from the nearby city of Igualada.
