Santa Rosa de Cabal is a town and a municipality in Risaralda, Colombia. It is about 14 kilometers away from the capital city, Pereira. In 2023, about 79,840 people lived in the town.

History of Santa Rosa de Cabal
Santa Rosa de Cabal was founded in 1844. A group of people led by Fermín López started the town. They were called colonizers.
On October 13, 1852, Santa Rosa de Cabal officially became a municipality. This means it became its own local government area.

Santa Rosa de Cabal is a busy place for trade and making things. It is surrounded by rich farmland. Farmers in the area raise Silkworms to produce silk.
One of the most popular attractions is a hot spring called "Termales de Santa Rosa". Visitors can relax in the warm, natural waters.
Symbols of Santa Rosa de Cabal
The Flag
The flag of Santa Rosa de Cabal is a rectangle. It has three horizontal stripes. The top and bottom stripes are white, and the middle stripe is green.
The Coat of Arms
The coat of arms is a special shield. It shows different symbols that represent the town.
- It has a Latin cross and an axe. These symbols are placed over green and silver areas.
- At the bottom, there is a silver rose with gold seeds and thorns.
- Above the shield, there is a golden crown with three towers.
- Below the shield, a blue ribbon says "Somos Libres" in black letters. This means "We are Free".
