Santiago Cordero (born December 6, 1993) is a talented rugby player from Argentina. He plays as a wing or fullback, which are positions that involve running fast and scoring tries. Santiago is currently part of the Connacht team in Ireland. He also proudly represents his home country, Argentina, playing for their national team, known as Los Pumas.

Rugby Journey
Santiago Cordero started his rugby career playing for Regatas from 2012 to 2015.
First Steps in International Rugby
Santiago played his first game for Argentina on November 9, 2013. He was only 19 years old when he faced England at Twickenham Stadium.
He also played a special match for the Barbarians team in 2013. This game was against Fiji and celebrated 100 years of rugby in Fiji.
Shining at the World Cup
Santiago Cordero became well-known during the 2015 Rugby World Cup. People noticed his amazing speed and quick footwork. He scored some memorable tries, including two against Georgia. For that game, he was even named "Man of the Match."
His strong runs and ability to cover a lot of ground helped Argentina a lot. Thanks to his contributions, Argentina finished in an impressive fourth place in the tournament.
Playing for Top Clubs
After the World Cup, Santiago joined Jaguares, Argentina's team in the Super Rugby competition. He played for them in 2016 and 2017.
In 2018, he moved to England to play for Exeter Chiefs in the Premiership Rugby. He quickly became a full-time player for the 2018–19 season. During his time with Exeter, he played 33 games and scored 10 tries. In 2019, he was named the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Player of the Month. He was also nominated for the prestigious Rugby Players Association Player of the Year award.
On January 6, 2019, Santiago left Exeter to join Bordeaux, a French team in the Top 14 competition. He played for Bordeaux until 2023.
Moving to Ireland
On March 23, 2023, Connacht Rugby announced that Santiago Cordero would be joining their team. He signed a two-year deal, starting in the 2023-24 season.
Argentina's Top Scorer
Santiago Cordero is one of the top try scorers for Argentina. He has scored 17 tries in 54 games for Los Pumas, showing his importance to the national team.
