Santiago Cordero (born on December 6, 1993) is a professional rugby union player from Argentina. He plays for the Irish team Connacht in the United Rugby Championship. Santiago usually plays as a wing or fullback. He also plays for the Argentina national team, known as Los Pumas.
Before becoming a professional, Santiago Cordero played for a club called Regatas from 2012 to 2015.

Rugby Career Highlights
Early International Matches
Santiago played his first international match for Argentina on November 9, 2013. He was only 19 years old when he played against England at Twickenham Stadium.
He also played a special match for the Barbarians team in 2013. This game was against Fiji and celebrated 100 years of rugby in Fiji.
2015 Rugby World Cup Success
Santiago Cordero became well-known during the 2015 Rugby World Cup. People noticed his amazing speed and quick footwork. He scored some memorable tries, including two against Georgia, where he was named "Man of the Match." He also scored a try against Tonga. His strong runs and how much ground he covered helped Argentina finish in fourth place in the tournament.
After the World Cup, Santiago scored another try for Argentina in a match against the Barbarians in November 2015. Argentina won that game 49–31.
Playing for Professional Clubs
From 2016 to 2017, Santiago played for the Jaguares, an Argentinian team in the Super Rugby competition.
In early 2018, he joined Exeter Chiefs in England's Premiership Rugby. He first joined as a temporary player but then became a full-time member for the 2018–19 season. While at Exeter, he played 33 games and scored 10 tries. In March 2019, he was named the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Player of the Month. He was also nominated for the prestigious Rugby Players Association Player of the Year award in May 2019.
On January 6, 2019, Cordero moved from Exeter to join the French team Bordeaux. He played for them in the Top 14 competition starting from the 2019-20 season.
In March 2023, Connacht Rugby announced that Santiago Cordero signed a two-year deal to play for their club. He started playing for Connacht in the 2023-24 season.
In May 2025, Connacht Rugby announced that Santiago Cordero would be leaving the club at the end of the season. At that time, his next club had not yet been announced.
Santiago Cordero is one of Argentina's top try scorers. He has scored 18 tries in 55 matches for Los Pumas.
