Santiago's Rugby Journey
Starting Out
Santiago Mesón began playing rugby at the Tucumán Rugby Club. He started there when he was young, around 1976 or 1977. By 1985, he was playing for the club's main team. He stayed with Tucumán Rugby Club until 1993.
Playing for New Teams
After leaving Tucumán Rugby Club, Santiago joined S.I.C.. He played for S.I.C. from 1993 until 1999. This was when he finished his professional rugby career.
Winning Championships
During his time playing club rugby, Santiago won some important titles. In 1994, his team won the Nacional de Clubes championship. He also helped his team win the URBA Championship twice, in 1994 and again in 1997.
Playing for Argentina
International Career
Santiago Mesón also played for the Argentine national rugby team. This team is often called "Los Pumas." He played for his country from 1987 to 1997. He played in 34 international games for Argentina.
