Savinja Statistical Region facts for kids
The Savinja Statistical Region (called Savinjska statistična regija in Slovene) is a special area in Slovenia. It's one of the country's 12 official regions used for collecting facts and figures. This region is known for its beautiful nature, including the Savinja River, which gives the region its name.

Changes to the Region's Borders
Before January 1, 2015, two other municipalities were part of the Savinja region. These were Bistrica ob Sotli and Radeče. In 2015, they became part of a different area called the Lower Sava Statistical Region. This shows how the borders of these statistical regions can sometimes change.
