Saylor is a small community located in Polk County, Iowa, United States. It is an unincorporated community. This means it does not have its own local government, like a city or town.
History
Saylor got its name from Saylor Township, a larger area nearby. For a while, Saylor had its own post office. This post office was called Marquisville. It was open from 1892 until 1907. In 1925, only 25 people lived in Saylor.
