Early Career and Training
After finishing his studies at Johnson & Wales University, Scott Leibfried worked in many places. He spent a lot of time cooking in the northeastern United States and in Europe. In 1997, he moved to the West Coast of the United States. There, he worked as a chef at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
In 2002, Scott became the executive chef at the Napa Valley Grille in Los Angeles. An executive chef is the head chef in charge of the kitchen. Soon after, he moved to London, England. In London, he worked in different restaurants. He learned a lot from the famous chef Gordon Ramsay.
Becoming an Executive Chef
In 2006, Scott Leibfried became the executive chef at a restaurant called Soleil @K. This restaurant is located in San Diego, California.
In August 2012, Scott took on a new role. He became the corporate chef at Fleetwood's restaurant in Maui, Hawaii. Because of this new job, he left his role on Hell's Kitchen. He had been the blue team's sous chef for the first ten seasons. A sous chef is the second-in-command in a kitchen. James Avery took his place in the eleventh season of Hell's Kitchen U.S..
Today, Scott Leibfried is the Chief Culinary Officer at Greensbury Market. This means he leads all the food-related decisions for the company.
