Scott Leibfried's Cooking Journey
Scott Leibfried studied cooking at Johnson & Wales University. After he finished school, he worked as a chef in the northeastern part of the United States and in Europe. In 1997, he moved to the West Coast of the U.S. to work at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
Working in Los Angeles and London
In 2002, Scott became the main chef at the Napa Valley Grille in Los Angeles. Soon after, he moved to London, England. There, he worked in different restaurants and learned from the famous chef Gordon Ramsay.
Becoming an Executive Chef
By 2006, Scott Leibfried was the executive chef at a restaurant called Soleil @K in San Diego. An executive chef is like the head chef who manages the whole kitchen.
Moving to Maui
In August 2012, Scott took on a new role as a corporate chef at Fleetwood's restaurant in Maui, Hawaii. Because of this new job, he left his position on the TV show Hell's Kitchen. He had been the blue team's sous chef for the first ten seasons of the show. A sous chef is the second-in-command in a kitchen. James Avery took his place in the eleventh season of Hell's Kitchen.
Current Role
Today, Scott Leibfried is the Chief Culinary Officer at Greensbury Market. This means he helps lead all the food-related parts of the company.
