Scottish Premier League
The Scottish Premier League (SPL) was the highest level of football in Scotland during the 2005-2006 season. Here are some of the teams that played in it:
Aberdeen F.C.
This club started in 1903. They play their home games at Pittodrie Stadium in Aberdeen. A very famous manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, led Aberdeen F.C. in the 1980s. Under him, they won the European Cup Winners Cup in 1983. This was a huge achievement for the club!
Celtic F.C.
Celtic F.C. was formed in 1888. Their home stadium is Celtic Park in Glasgow. They have a big rivalry with Rangers F.C.. This rivalry is known as the "Old Firm Derby." Celtic was the first team from the UK to win the European Champion Clubs' Cup. They achieved this amazing feat in 1967 in Lisbon.

Rangers Football Club was formed in 1873. They are one of the most successful football teams in the world. By the 2004/2005 season, they had won an incredible 51 league titles. Rangers also had European success in 1972 when they won the European Cup Winners Cup. They have won over a hundred major trophies in their history. Rangers play their rivals Celtic F.C. in the famous "Old Firm Derby." Their home ground is Ibrox Stadium, also in Glasgow.

Dundee became the Champions of Scotland on April 28, 1962. This was their first and only time winning the top league. Dundee has also won the Scottish Cup once, in 1910.
