Scout's Safari is an American teen comedy-drama TV series. It was shown on Discovery Kids and on Saturday mornings on NBC. The show was created by Thomas W. Lynch, who also made The Secret World of Alex Mack.

About the Show: Scout's African Adventure

The story is about a teenage girl named Jennifer "Scout" Lauer. She used to live a simple life in New York City. But then her dad, who is a photographer, had to travel the world for a year. This meant Scout had to move to South Africa. She went to live with her mom, Cheryl, and her new stepdad, Roger. They lived at a resort.

In South Africa, Scout found a whole new world. She started a new school and met up with her old friend, Bongani. Bongani is proud of his Zulu culture. He lives with his uncle, C.B., who is a veterinarian (an animal doctor). Bongani often helps Scout make good choices. Scout also had to deal with her stepbrother, Tyler. He was a bit of a know-it-all. She kept in touch with her best friend, Sherna, using a webcam. As the series went on, Scout started to feel more at home in her new surroundings.
