This show was about a regular teenage girl named Alex Mack. But one day, something extraordinary happened to her! She gained special powers after an accident. The series followed her adventures as she tried to keep her powers a secret from everyone, especially from a big chemical company that wanted to find out what happened to her.

Alex Mack was just a normal middle school student. One day, while walking home from school, a truck from a chemical plant spilled a secret chemical called GC-16 onto her. Instead of getting sick, Alex developed amazing abilities! She could move objects with her mind (telekenesis), shoot electricity from her fingertips, and even turn into a puddle of liquid.

Alex's biggest challenge was keeping her new powers a secret. Only her older sister, Annie, and her best friend, Ray, knew about them.
