The SeaWorld SkyTower is a super tall tower at the SeaWorld Orlando theme park. It was built in 1973 and opened in 1974. This tower lets you see amazing views of Orlando and the park.
About the SkyTower
The SkyTower is an observation tower. This means it's a tall building designed for people to go up and look around. It's the tallest observation tower in Florida.
The tower has a special pod that rotates slowly. This pod has two levels, so lots of people can enjoy the view at the same time. As of 2013, the SkyTower is lit up at night with cool LED lights.
How Tall is the SkyTower?
The very top of the SkyTower reaches about 400 feet (122 meters) from the ground. If you include the flagpole on top, it's even taller, at 425 feet (129 meters)!
When you ride the SkyTower, the rotating pod takes you up to a height of 365 feet (111 meters). From there, you can see all around SeaWorld Orlando and the surrounding area.
