The Seabees Memorial is a special statue and monument. It honors the brave men and women known as Seabees. A famous artist named Felix de Weldon created it. You can find it near the entrance of Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. The National Park Service takes care of this memorial. It is part of the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
The idea for this memorial came from the Seabee Memorial Association. Congress approved it in September 1972. The memorial was officially opened on Memorial Day in 1974.
