Seamus Heath was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on December 6, 1961. He is a former football player and coach. He played as a midfielder and later became a manager. His most recent role was managing Welsh Premier League club Aberystwyth Town.
Seamus Heath played for many different clubs during his career. This is sometimes called being a "journeyman" in sports. After his playing days, he became a very successful coach.

Playing Career Highlights
Seamus Heath started his football journey at an amateur club called Cromac Albion. There, he shared a room with Mal Donaghy, who later became a player for the Northern Ireland national team.
Early Club Teams
In April 1979, Seamus joined Football League team Luton Town. He did not play in any league games for them. In April 1982, he went to Lincoln City for a short time on loan.
He played for Wrexham during the 1983–84 season. After that, he joined Tranmere Rovers. In October 1986, he moved back to Northern Ireland to play for Portadown.
Playing in Finland and Back Home
Soon after, Seamus Heath moved to Finland. He played for a club called Bollklubben-46. He played for several other clubs in Finland too.
In October 1989, he joined Glentoran. The next summer, he returned to Bollklubben-46 in Finland. He then rejoined Glentoran in October 1990.
Later Club Appearances
Seamus Heath signed with Distillery in July 1992. In August 1994, he moved to League of Ireland team Derry City. He returned to the Irish Football League in August 1995, playing for Cliftonville.
Coaching and Development Roles
After his playing career, Seamus Heath started coaching. He worked as a youth development officer at Glenavon. Until 2005, he also had a bigger role with the Irish Football Association (IFA). He was one of 23 youth development officers for the IFA.
Youth Team Coaching
As part of his work, Seamus Heath was also an assistant manager. He helped coach the Northern Ireland under-19 team. In January 2006, he became the manager of Kilmore Recreation.
Around 2007, Heath went back to work for the IFA. He became a "Grassroots Development Officer" for the Down area. This role helps young players get started in football. He was still in this position as of 2011. He has also played in matches for Northern Ireland's over 45s veterans team.
Managing Aberystwyth Town
On March 28, 2018, Seamus Heath was announced as the manager of Welsh club Aberystwyth Town. He took over because the previous manager's coaching license had expired.
