Sean Charles was known as a talented player from a young age. He began his professional football career with the Melbourne Demons.
Playing for Melbourne
Sean Charles joined the Melbourne Demons in 1992. He played for them until 1997. During his time at Melbourne, he played 47 games. He also scored 60 goals for the team.
Sean faced some challenges during his career. He had to take breaks from playing due to injuries. He also had a recurring problem with a bone in his wrist, called the scaphoid.
A Short Time at Carlton
In 1998, Sean Charles moved to the Carlton Football Club. However, his time there was very short. In his very first and only game for Carlton, he unfortunately broke his leg. This injury kept him away from the game for a while.
Playing for St Kilda
Sean Charles returned to the AFL in 2000. He was a new player for the St Kilda Saints. It was a bit of a surprise to see him back playing. He stayed with St Kilda until 2001. During his time there, he played 8 games and scored 6 goals.
Retirement from AFL
