Sean Charles was an Australian rules footballer. He was born on May 18, 1975. Sean played for three different teams in the Australian Football League (AFL). These teams were the Melbourne Demons, Carlton Blues, and St Kilda Saints.

Sean Charles: Early Career and AFL Debut
Sean Charles was seen as a very talented player from a young age. He started playing in the reserves team. The reserves team is like a junior team for professional clubs. He showed great skills there.
In 1992, Sean made his first appearance in the senior AFL team. This was a big step for him. He was excited to play at the highest level.
Challenges and Injuries During His Career
Sean's time as a professional player had some tough moments. He often had to stop playing because of injuries. He also wanted to spend more time with his family.
One problem he faced was a recurring issue with his Scaphoid bone. This is a small bone in the wrist. It caused him pain and kept him off the field. Sean played with St Kilda until 2001. After that season, he decided it was time to stop playing professionally. He retired from the AFL.
