Seaside School, also known as Seaside Colored School, is a very old and important school building. It is located on Edisto Island in Charleston County, South Carolina. This school was built around 1931 for African-American children. During that time, schools were often separated based on race.

Seaside School is a simple, one-story building. It has two rooms and is shaped like a rectangle. The outside walls are made of wood siding, which looks like overlapping boards. The building sits on a low foundation made of brick piers.

The school stopped being used for classes in 1954. After that, people sometimes lived in it for short periods. But mostly, it has been empty for many years.
