The most important building in Sebastian is St. Sebastian's Catholic Church. It stands right where the two main roads cross. This church was built in 1904. It was the third church building for the community. The earlier church was sadly destroyed by a fire.

When you look at Sebastian from a distance, the church seems to be almost alone. It stands out in the countryside.

A Look at Other Buildings

Besides the church, there are only a few other buildings in Sebastian. One is a rectory, which is a home for the church's priest. Another building is a house located right next to the church's parking lot. People believe this house was built around the 1850s. It might have been a general store back then.

Mail Delivery in the Past

Sebastian once had its own post office. It opened on August 29, 1882. This was a place where people could send and receive mail. However, the post office closed on June 15, 1904. After that, all of Sebastian's mail was sent through the post office in Celina.
