Senen Reyes (born November 20, 1965), known as Sen Dog, is a Cuban-American rapper. He is famous for being a member of the hip hop group Cypress Hill. He is also the lead singer for the nu metal band Powerflo. Sen Dog has also worked on his own music. He is also the lead singer for the rap rock band SX-10.

Sen Dog's Music Career

Sen Dog is a key member of the rap group Cypress Hill. This group has had many albums reach the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. Their album Black Sunday even reached number one. Some of their most popular songs include "How I Could Just Kill a Man" and "Insane in the Brain".

Starting SX-10

In the late 1990s, Sen Dog took a break from Cypress Hill. He wanted to start a new band called SX-10. He wanted this band to mix funk music with Latin sounds. SX-10 released their album Mad Dog American in 2000.

In 1996, he worked on a song called "Quien Es Ese Negro (Who's That Black Dude)". This song was for a special album called Silencio=Muerte: Red Hot + Latin. This album helped raise money for AIDS research.

Solo Music: Diary of a Mad Dog

On September 30, 2008, Sen Dog released his first solo album. It was called Diary of a Mad Dog. This was 17 years after Cypress Hill's first album came out.

Sen Dog said that making this solo album felt different. He felt he had more control over the music. He could also talk about personal things in his songs. He mentioned that with Cypress Hill, he didn't feel as comfortable sharing personal stories. He enjoyed being the main creative person in the studio for his solo work. He found he had more ideas than he thought. He just wanted to have fun with the album and try different types of music.

Sen Dog's Personal Life

Senen Reyes and former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo were friends when they were kids. They went to the same high school.

Sen Dog is the older brother of another musician, Mellow Man Ace. His birth name is Ulpiano Sergio Reyes. Sen Dog now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
