The first time Sentinel Prime was mentioned was in a Marvel Comics Transformers comic book. This was way back in issue #65 of the US series. In the story, it was said that Sentinel Prime used to hold the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. This Matrix is a very powerful object that helps guide the Autobot leaders.
Sentinel Prime is also part of a special group called the Dynasty of Primes. These are ancient and powerful Transformers who were among the very first of their kind. Being a Prime means you are a very important leader among the Autobots.
Sentinel Prime in the Movies
Sentinel Prime made a big appearance in the 2011 live-action movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. In this movie, he was a main character and had a very important role. He was even voiced by the famous actor Leonard Nimoy, who played Spock in Star Trek!
