Serpil Timuray is a successful Turkish businesswoman. She is known for her important leadership roles at Vodafone. She currently leads Vodafone's operations in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific (AMAP).

Early Life and Education
Serpil Timuray grew up in Turkey. She attended the Üsküdar American Academy in Istanbul. Later, she also studied at the Asheville High School in North Carolina, USA. After returning to Turkey, she went to Boğaziçi University. There, she earned a degree in Business Administration.
Her Career Journey
Starting in Business
Serpil Timuray began her career in 1991. She started in the marketing department. This was at Procter & Gamble Turkey. In 1999, she joined DanoneSA Tikveşli. This company was a partnership between Groupe Danone and Sabancı Holding. She became the marketing director there. She also joined the executive committee. By June 2002, she was the general manager. She also became the chairperson of the executive committee at DanoneSA Dairy Products.
Leading Big Changes
In the years that followed, Serpil Timuray helped with big changes. She was involved when Danone Group bought other companies. These included DanoneSA companies and Nestlé Turkey Dairy Products. She helped bring these companies together. She also managed a large investment program for Danone Group. This program helped make sure all products were made in Turkey.
Joining Vodafone
On November 11, 2008, Serpil Timuray moved to Vodafone Turkey. She became the company's chief operating officer on January 1, 2009. In this role, she helped the company grow a lot. Vodafone Turkey grew by more than 30% under her leadership.
Becoming a Global Leader
By October 1, 2013, Serpil Timuray took on an even bigger role. She became the director of Vodafone's Africa, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific (AMAP) region. She kept her role at Vodafone Turkey too. She reported to Nick Read, who was the CEO of the AMAP region. Then, on January 1, 2014, Vodafone CEO Vittorio Colao announced a new change. Serpil Timuray was appointed the new CEO of the AMAP region. She took over from Nick Read.
On October 1, 2018, Serpil Timuray received another important position. She became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vodafone Group Europe. She is also a member of the Vodafone Group World Executive Board.
