Shaira Ana Teresiana Luna (born September 20, 1986) is a talented Filipina photographer. When she was younger, she was known as a "gifted child" and a "Promil kid" because she appeared in a special advertisement for baby formula in 1995.

Early Life and Amazing Talents
Shaira Luna was born on September 20, 1986, in Malate, Manila, Philippines. Her parents are Bong and Jenny Luna. From a very young age, Shaira showed incredible abilities.
How Shaira's Talents Appeared
When she was only six months old, Shaira could already speak clearly. By the time she was one year old, she could read and write the alphabet! At age two, she knew a lot about different areas of science. She also played musical instruments like the piano and violin. Besides speaking English very well, she was also interested in learning French and Spanish.
Discovering Her High IQ
Because of Shaira's amazing skills, her parents sought help from experts. Someone from the Department of Education found that Shaira had an IQ similar to a high school student, even though she was very young. Her mother, Jenny Luna, thought that Shaira's intelligence might come from her family, as many relatives were high achievers in school.
Shaira was advised to attend a sixth-grade class at the Philippine Christian University (PCU). This was because she would easily get bored in a kindergarten class. Going to PCU also helped her improve her social skills, as she tended to be a bit shy.
University Studies
When Shaira was 13 years old, she started studying at De La Salle University. She first studied human biology. After trying different subjects, she decided to leave the university in 2006.
Becoming a Photographer
While she was a student at De La Salle University, Shaira bought her first digital single-lens reflex camera, a Canon EOS 350D. She started taking pictures as a hobby.
Learning Photography
For about six months, Shaira took photos of everything she could. She tried portraits of people, pictures of food, and even events like birthdays and baptisms. She also photographed local basketball games and sometimes even funerals.
In an interview, Shaira shared that photography was just a hobby during her college years. Her career grew slowly and naturally. She tried many different types of photography before realizing it could be her full-time job. Shaira learned photography mostly by herself, which means she is "self-taught".
