About Shaista Lodhi
Early Life and Education
Shaista Lodhi was born in Karachi, Pakistan. Her parents are Ali Gohar Lodhi and Roshan Taj Lodhi. She grew up with her three brothers, Amir, Tahir, and Sahir Lodhi.
In the year 2000, Shaista finished her medical studies. She earned her MBBS degree from Jinnah Sindh Medical University.
Her TV Journey
Shaista began her career in television in 2001. She started as a VJ, which means she introduced music videos. Soon after, she became a host on a TV channel.
She hosted a famous morning show called Good Morning Pakistan on ARY Digital. Later, in 2010, she moved to Geo TV. There, she hosted another morning show called Utho Jago Pakistan.
In 2014, the show was suspended by the channel. Shaista then moved to South Africa with her three children. She returned to Pakistan in 2015.
After returning, she continued her TV career. She hosted Sitare Ki Subah on Hum Sitaray. She also hosted Mehmaan Nawaz on SEE TV. Later, she went back to Geo TV to host Geo Subah Pakistan.
In 2020, Shaista was a team captain. She led the Peshawar Stallions team in the Jeeto Pakistan League. This was a special show during Ramadan.
In 2021, she started hosting a morning show on PTV Home. The show is called Morning at Home.
Family Life
Shaista Lodhi was first known as Shaista Wahidi. She married Waqar Wahidi in 1999. They later separated in 2012.
In June 2015, she got married for a second time. Her husband is Adnan Lodhi. He is the first Pakistani art auctioneer in South Africa. Shaista has three children from her first marriage. Her brother, Sahir Lodhi, also works in the TV industry.
